We understand that finding affordable child care can be a significant challenge for families. Thankfully, subsidized child care provide essential support that allows parents or guardians to remain employed or pursue their educational goals. By offering these vital services, these programs are committed to helping families create a stable and nurturing environment for their children. SHM stands out as one of the most reputable daycares in Brooklyn, meeting the rigorous standards set by the New York State (NYS) and New York City (NYC) Departments of Health and Mental Hygiene. SHM accept vouchers from ACS/HRA, Child Care Aware (for military families), and other qualified subsidies to ease financial burdens for families. We are committed to ensuring that all of our students have access to a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment and will be school ready after they leave SHM.
Stuyvesant Heights Montessori accepts vouchers and other child care subsidies from The Administration for Children’s Services, Human Resources Administration, and Child Care Aware® of America.

ACS is an essential program that provides free or low-cost child care services to eligible families residing in New York City. This program offers care for children aged 6 weeks to 13 years and extends up to the age of 18 for children with special needs. The backbone of these services consists of ACS-funded child care centers and registered family child care homes, ensuring that all eligible families have access to the quality care they deserve.

If your family receives cash assistance through HRA, they may be eligible to apply for child care vouchers through ACS. Furthermore, if you are on any form of public assistance then you must apply for an HRA voucher.

Child Care Aware® of America offers child care fee assistance to eligible members of the military and DoD. Eligibility requirements are determined by each branch of service or agency.
You may qualify for a ACS/HRA voucher if your household gets Cash Assistance or is experiencing homelessness. You may also qualify if your household earns less than the incomes listed on their site. Once you receive a voucher, we will assist you in processing the necessary forms so your child can enroll right away. At our school, we recognize that the cost of child care can be a challenge for many families. Although, SHM doesn't have financial-aid assistance we accept families with vouchers and other child care subsidies to make it easier for you to enroll your little one at SHM.
